Using Car Semi-Active Suspension Systems To Decrease Undesirable Effects Of Road Excitations On Human Health

چکیده

I. Abstract People daily use their cars for various reasons. This daily traveling also has some disadvantages. For instance, when a car passes a road excitation, the vertical acceleration caused by it may unfavorably affect human health. In this paper, a quarter-car model with semi-active suspension system is considered and three different control approaches (optimal control, fuzzy control, optimal neural network control) are applied to eliminate these undesirable effects of the road excitation. Simulation results indicate using optimal neural network controller can result in a better performance compared to others in controlling the critical health parameters, and can be easily used in future cars for minimizing unexpected hazards imposed on human body due to road excitations.
